Friends from the Underground:  Founded in June 2010 by Lisa M. Blacker, we are a group of entrepreneurs and business principals whose focus is personal growth and business development.  We meet at 6:30 P.M. on the 3rd Thursday of every month in DuPage County, Illinois for networking and learning frequently integrate social media tools and tactics into our presentations. Our Mission: To empower members to achieve personal growth & business development by providing a safe, fun, supportive, educational environment with expert speakers/trainers & friendly networking.

The environment at Rita’s in the early evening lends itself very well to business networking on a friendly, social basis, so join us for a great time networking and socializing with quality entrepreneurs and business principals.  Dress is business casual.

Friends from the Underground will continue to meet the 3rd Thursday of every month at Rita's American Roadhouse in Downers Grove.

We meet usually meet from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., before Rita's starts dancing & shaking.  Most members and their guests stay later, and there is usually a small group there until 10:30 P.M.  Rita’s is open until 2:00 A.M., so stay as late as you like. Some members have been known to stay afterward to Ride the Mechanical Bull at Rita’s!
